Houndstooth imagery is a key look we're seeing from both the Fall 22 catwalk and our recent visit to Premier Vision Paris. Bold graphics combined with neon accents and dark grounds creates a new take on houndstooth.
Key colours such as acidic green, orange and ochre are also used as ground colours with dark motifs. There is a mix of oversized graphics as seen in Coach's collection, as well as smaller irregular repeats.
Coach's collection mixes more earthy tones with pops of lime and orange. Their use of mark making is playful to create houndstooth/woven textures. Versace also uses bright pops of colour while styling different houndstooth prints together.
This geometric trend works great in monochrome, mixing up textures and scale. Using a mix of mark making, linear lines and solid colour.
